Tell a client you're running late

On the visit you're on, tap Running late, pick how long you still need, and Quoti texts your next client a new arrival time that includes the drive.

When you're behind, open the visit you're on and tap Running late? Tell followed by your next client's name. Quoti works out a new arrival time and texts that client for you.

When you see it

The Running late? row shows under the status steps of a visit when: - you've tapped On my way or I've arrived on this visit; - the visit has a crew; and - the same crew has another visit later the same day that isn't done, cancelled or all day.

Send the text

  1. Open the visit you're on now.
  2. Tap Running late? Tell and the client's name. The sheet shows who's next and at what time, for example "Next: Marc at 2:00 PM".
  3. Under Time left here, tap how long you still need: 15 min, 30 min, 45 min, 1 h or 1 h 30.
  4. Check New arrival around. Quoti adds your time left and the drive from this address to the next one, then rounds up to the next 5 minutes. If it can't get the drive time, it counts 15 minutes.
  5. Read the text and edit it if you want.
  6. Tap Send to and the client's name. Or tap Not now to close without sending.

If you'll still be on time, the sheet says "You should still make it" with the planned time. You can send the text anyway.

If the next client has no phone number, the sheet says no text can be sent.

Change the default text

Tap More → Texts & emails → Running late to change the words every running-late text starts with. The text fills in the client's first name and the new time for you.

Tips

  • The row only looks at the same crew's visits. Make sure every visit of the day has a crew.
  • Running more than a little late? Move the next visit instead and tell the client its new time.
