Get your Quoti texting number

Pick a local Quoti number so clients can text and call your business in the app. Set how calls ring and what happens when you miss one.

Your Quoti number is the business number your clients text and call. Texts and calls to it reach you in Quoti, and Quoti Ai can reply from it. You pick it once, and it stays the same.

Get a number

  1. Tap More → All settings.
  2. Under Messages, tap Texting number. It shows Get a number if you don't have one yet.
  3. On Pick your number, Quoti lists available numbers with the same area code as your business phone. Tap the one you want.
  4. Tap Claim this number. You see "Setting up your number…", then you're back in the app.

You can also tap Get one on the banner in any conversation.

If no numbers are left for your area code: - Type another area code near you and tap Search, or - Tap Show any number in Canada (or the US), or - Tap Skip and text from your phone for now.

If you see "That number couldn't be set up", pick another number and try again.

See your number

Tap More → All settings → Texting number. The Your Quoti number sheet shows it. Your clients save this number, so it stays the same for good. Need a different one? Tap Message us.

Set up calls to your number

  1. Tap More → Quoti Ai and go to Calls.
  2. If you see "Calls aren't connected to your Quoti number yet", tap Turn on calls.
  3. Choose your options: - Ring my phone: on, your cell rings for 20 seconds, then Quoti Ai answers. Off, every call goes straight to Quoti Ai's voicemail. - Number to ring: usually your cell. Tap Save to keep a change. - Announce the call: you hear who's calling and press 1 to answer. If your own voicemail picks up, Quoti Ai takes the message instead. - Text back missed calls: the caller gets a short text. With Quoti Ai on, it drafts a reply for that caller instead.

When you don't pick up, Quoti Ai takes the message, writes it out for you and drafts a reply. Calls and voicemails show in the client's conversation as Phone call and Voicemail.

Texting without a Quoti number

Until you have a number, texts open your phone's Messages app and you tap send there. They show in Quoti as "Sent from your phone". You can't attach photos this way, and Quoti Ai can't send replies by itself.

If you see "Your Quoti number can't text yet", texts also open your Messages app. Go to More → Quoti Ai → Calls and tap Try my Quoti number again.
