Accept card payments with Quoti Payments

Quoti Payments lets your clients pay their invoices by card, from the invoice link or by scanning a QR code at the door. You connect it once through Stripe, Quoti's payment partner, and the money is paid out to your bank account.

Before you start

• You need to be the account owner or an admin.
• Have your business details and bank account handy. Stripe asks for them to activate payments and send your payouts.

Connect Quoti Payments

1. Tap More. Under Money, tap the Quoti Payments card. It shows Not connected.
2. Read the overview and tap Get Started.
3. On Tell us about your business, tap Continue. Stripe's secure form opens.
4. Fill in your business and bank details, then come back to Quoti.

You can also get there from More → Invoices → Quoti Payments.

The card shows where you are:

• Finish setup: Stripe still needs some details. Tap the card, then Continue to finish.
• Being verified: Stripe is checking your account. You'll be notified when it's ready.
• Needs attention: payments are suspended. Tap the card to see why.
• Connected: clients can pay by card. Payouts go to your bank account.

How your clients pay

From the invoice link. When you send an invoice, the link opens a page with a Pay button. Your client can add a tip (10%, 15%, 20% or a custom amount) or choose No tip, then pays by card on Stripe's secure page. The tip is calculated on the invoice amount before taxes.

At the door. Open the invoice and tap Collect payment at the bottom (on a draft, tap the QR code button). Your client scans the code with their phone camera and pays by card.

Either way, the payment is added to the invoice by itself and marked Paid online with Stripe. If the invoice was open while your client paid and it hasn't changed, close it and open it again.

See your money

Once you're connected, tap the Quoti Payments card again. You'll see:

• IN TRANSIT TO BANK and TOTAL BALANCE.
• Payouts: tap one to see what it contains, with Collected from clients, Stripe fees and Paid to your bank.
• Payments received: filter by All, Completed, Pending or Failed, plus what you collected this month and in tips.

Fees

Card processing fees are taken out before the money reaches your bank. Tap a payout to see the Stripe fees taken from it.

Tips

• Not connected yet? The QR screen tells you so. Tap Paid another way to record cash, a cheque or an e-transfer instead.
• A card payment made online can't be voided from the invoice.
